Exit Status describes the current state of an investor's realisation of a specific investment. 'Full' indicates the investor has completely exited their position and received all proceeds. 'Partial' means the investor has sold or distributed only a portion of their stake while retaining the remainder. 'No Exit' (or 'Active') means the investment is still fully held with no exit event recorded.
Exit Status is tracked at the individual investment level on Alternatives.pe and helps users distinguish between positions that have been monetised and those still held in the portfolio. A fund with high DPI but many 'Partial' exit statuses may still have significant unrealised value remaining, captured in RVPI.
