Emerging India Growth Fund
Emerging India Growth Fund, also known as Canbank Venture Capital Fund V, is a growth fund that invests mainly in mid-sized Indian firms. It aims to take significant minority investments in companies which have strong market positions. Such companies should be in the maturing stage of development, including pre-IPO. Early stage seed funding will not be the focus of the fund. Emerging India Growth Fund is sector agnostic, but will not commit to real estate and infrastructure. The industries it may target includes IT, biotechnology, healthcare and pharmaceutical, education, manufacturing, engineering and automotive. The fund is expected to have a maturity period of 6 years.
