Bank Rakyat Malaysia
Bank Rakyat is a Government Agency established in 1954 in Malaysia. It is the largest Islamic cooperative bank in Malaysia with assets totaling RM89.18 billion as of December 2014 and a pre-tax and pre-zakat profit of RM2.16 billion in the financial year ending 31 December 2014. Bank Rakyat offers a range of products and services including consumer banking, commercial financing, savings and investments and financial planning and has an extensive delivery network across Malaysia. The bank has received various industry recognitions and is committed to supporting the mission of the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism to consolidate the cooperative sector as a driver of economic growth in Malaysia.
