Greenspring Global Partners IV
Greenspring Global Partners IV (previously known as Montagu Newhall Global Partners IV) primarily invests in early stage venture funds, complemented by later stage direct co-investments. The fund allocates 80% of its capital to US-based investments, with the remaining 20% allocated to investments in Asia and Europe. 80% of capital will be invested in venture funds, and 25% will be invested in late stage co-investments. The fund will invest opportunistically in select secondary interests. The fund will be fully diversified by sector exposure with its largest allocation to IT and communications, followed by healthcare, life sciences and clean energy. The fund of funds was closed in January 2010 having secured commitments totalling USD 469 million.
