Mayban-JAIC ASEAN Fund
Mayban-JAIC ASEAN Fund is managed by Mayban-JAIC Management, a joint venture company between Mayban Ventures and JAIC Asia Holdings. It invests in the ASEAN region, in particular Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. 30 percent of investable capital will be invested in Malaysian companies while the remaining 70 percent will be invested in other countries in ASEAN. Not more than 30% of investable capital will be allocated for investment in any country. It invests in a wide variety of industries, focusing on investments in sectors where the general partner has prior experience in managing private mutual funds, amongst others: manufacturing, plantation, automotive, retailing, biotechnology and information technology. It will not invest in seed stage companies, property companies, listed companies and unethical or morally questionable ventures.
