AgFunder SIJ Impact Fund
AgFunder SIJ Impact Fund is a impact investment fund targeting agtech and foodtech start-ups. It seeks to invest in agtech and foodtech companies that can contribute to realizing a sustainable food system by redusing CO2 emmission/food waste, improving soil/crop monitoring or optimizing food production through bio/digital technology. The fund focuses on promising start-ups with connection to Japan, including Japanese start-ups that are looking for foreign investors/partners as well as foreign start-ups seeking to enter Japanese market. AgFunder SIJ Impact Fund is established by AgFunder Asia in partnership with SDG Impact Japan, which provides SDGs advisory services to the fund. The fund held first close with commitments from Japanse corporate investors, Meiji Holdings and Asahi Group Holdings and seeks to raise JPY 3 to 5 billion by December 2022.
