Heinz Endowments
The Heinz Endowments is an independent nonprofit organization located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Established in 1986, it emerged from the Howard Heinz Endowment, founded in 1941, and the Vira I. Heinz Endowment, also created in 1986. The foundation's mission is to leverage the southwestern Pennsylvania region as a testing ground for solutions to challenges that extend beyond local boundaries.
