The Lemelson Foundation, a non-profit based in Portland, Oregon, was founded in 1992 by inventor Jerome Lemelson and his wife, Dorothy. The Foundation believes in the power of invention to address major economic and social challenges. Since its founding, it has granted over $300 million toward this mission.
