KOBACO is the only government-funded public media representative in South Korea that operates as an agency representing every terrestrial broadcasting company for their broadcast advertising sales. Established in 1981 and re-established in 2012, KOBACO's main responsibilities include supplying stable financial resources to broadcasters and promoting public interest through public service advertisements.
