New Plymouth District Council Perpetual Investment Fund is a fund established by the New Plymouth District Council in New Zealand to contain the proceeds from the sale of the council's shares in Powerco Limited. The PIF helps to offset rates for residents living within the New Plymouth District boundary and is managed by Taranaki Investment Management Limited, which is wholly owned by the council. The New Plymouth District Council (Perpetual Investment Fund) Act was passed in 2023 to protect and ring-fence the benefits of the PIF for the district's residents.
