DB Capital Partners was the global direct private equity and principal investment arm of Deutsche Bank AG, operating throughout North America and Europe. The firm specialized in growth-stage capital, late-stage buyouts, and direct equity investments in mid-market companies across a variety of sectors, including consumer products, media, technology, and industrial services. In February 2003, executive leadership completed a landmark €1.5 billion management buyout of Deutsche Bank's late-stage private equity portfolio, transitioning the team and assets into independent private equity manager MidOcean Partners.
